Associates In Family Eye Care

I stopped going to their office many years ago because I suddenly became aware that the extra $25.00 that they charged me for my glasses was just a very sneaky upsale that they never should have been charging me! They purposely showed me more expensive frames when they should have just shown me the frames that I was eligible for and maybe showed me the more expensive frames as a clearly identified option. They did not! I don't deal with crooked people and that is why I go to Valley Vision Care on Market Street.

Used to take my kids here, they are grown now and being 5o+ I needed my first pair of glasses. They were very expensive even with insurance I paid over $600 out of pocket for one pair of glasses and when I had problems with them they said sorry they're out of warranty. After getting the glasses, my three kids all informed me they don't go there now because they're not that good anymore and really expensive. Now I also know they don't stand behind the products they are selling. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone I like. UPDATE 10/27/21: I was really happy to see the response that they were willing to fix my glasses and took them up today and they were really nice but as you can see I did not give them anymore stars because they did nothing. I got these glasses 2years and one month ago today. When I got them I was told they were covered from anything but dog damage, period. No time frame was given and I would't expect them to fix them 5 years after getting them but to have a piece of very expensive garbage after 2 years is discouraging. And I still wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The pictures are of my cleaned glasses, the stuff that looks like dirt well that's the problem it's the lenses. And they basically taped the frames, well at least the black tape matches, but could have done that at home with some electrical tape.

The staff and the Dr knew for an entire year that they will no longer accept my insurance and never gave me a reason!! They called me a week before my yearly appointment to tell me this and had since last August of 2022 to inform me then!!! My eyes or anyone's eyes are nothing to play with and I could of been already seeing another eye Dr by now!!! I am furious over this. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone!! If there was less than one star then I would of gave it.

I ordered contacts on June 30 and have not received them yet. When I called the office I asked if they had even been ordered and they said “ I’m not really sure” so I waited for a follow up call ( which is what I was told) and after not receiving that call, I called back only to be told the technician was really swamped. I then asked the same person I originally spoke with if she could check to see if they were ordered - I wanted a simple yes or no but she then informs me she is the “scheduler” ( which she didn’t seem to tell me on the original call). I’ll just keep waiting I suppose.

I have went to this eye doctors for a very long time. I never had a problem until now. They messed my order up twice. The glasses that I just got are completely wrong. I didn't pick these glasses out. They claim they fitted me with these glasses. I know I wouldn't have got these glasses, because I can't wear nose pieces. I questioned them about it and talked to Sarah the manager. She was very unprofessional and ended up hanging up on me while I was trying to talk. I had never had this experience with them until today. I'm very disappointed and will look into go to another eye doctor.

Dr Sheridan is really good with his patients but the staff he has employed out front is negligent, rude and not very helpful. I waited months to get glasses from them and when I finally get them they were wrong I had to send them back for them to do it again and got them for the second time and they were still not done right. I feel bad for Dr Sheridan.
